The evening will start at 6pm and feature four, three-round bouts, by some of Ghana’s best boxers, some of whom will be competing at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. Other sports disciplines and athletes will be represented during the evening with a photographic exhibition showcasing Ghana and Australia’s sporting achievements and excellence in the past Commonwealth Games.
“It is a very special moment for us to welcome the baton in the former Gold Coast which will go all the way to our Australian Gold Coast, in Queensland” – High Commissioner Barnes commented. He added “With many boxers and athletes lined up, it promises to be a memorable night”.
