Whether you’re a diehard Blue Bulls supporter or not, come and join the Bulls Babes and other artists at the Rand Show this Easter, for the Bulls Babes Reloaded Show.
With its strong focus on the family, the Rand Show is all about great family entertainment, which makes the Bulls Babes Reloaded Show the perfect fit.
From 22 April to 2 May, the Bulls Babes, the Leon Shaw Syndicate live band and tenor Fatman Brummer, will entertain show-goers with a fresh, hour-long variety show suitable for all audiences.
The Bulls Babes are well known for their energetic theme-based dances – from “Cowgirl”, “Pop Idol”, and “Matador” to “Dallas”, “Soccer” and “Bokke Babes” – choreographed to the hits of Lady Gaga, The Black Eyed Peas, Katy Perry, Robbie Wessels, Kurt Darren and Gerhard Steyn, to name a few.
There’ll be loads of audience participation, as lucky people (even those who support the Stormers!) are called up on stage to join in on the action of “Waka Waka”, “Diski”, “Single Ladies” or “Player 23”. And be sure you’ve warmed up those vocal chords for the deafening Cheer competition.
There’s more great music to be had from the Leon Shaw Syndicate, featuring the power duo of drummer and lead singer Leon Shaw and lead guitarist Arno West. Ex-Mean Mr Mustard member Leon has toured with Westlife and Michael Bolton, and has played or recorded with the likes of Ed Jordan, Dr Victor and the Rasta Rebels, and the Diamond Dogs. Bass and lead guitarist Arno has also played for the Diamond Dogs, as well as for various cover bands around Joburg. He’s also responsible for many of the advertising jingles you’ve heard on TV.
The duo will perform popular English and Afrikaans golden oldies, as well as the latest upbeat international hits.
Finally, Fatman Brummer, with his voice that’s a comfortable mix of Elvis, Josh Groban, Frank Sinatra and Pavarotti, will sing everything from Oldies and Rock to Pop, Jazz and Opera, with hits like “Suspicious Minds”, “We are the Champions”, “You Raise Me Up”, and the perennial favourite, “Nessun Dorma”.
And with two shows every day, you’ll be able to come back again for a Bulls Babes Reloaded encore. Just another reason why this Easter, the only place to be if you’re looking for a Great Day Out, is the Rand Show 2011.04.15
