July 2018 Monday Wine-Tasting Calendar
2nd July, Bizoe wines: Bisous is French for a little kiss – the inspiration for the name of the Bizoe winery. Tonight, let Bizoe handcrafted wines brush your lips at our complimentary tasting. Rikus Neethling believes in a hands-on approach for his small-batch, artisanal wines. Then join us for dinner!
9th July, Thelema Wine estate: Imagine wines from Helshoogte Pass – the highest and probably coolest of Stellenbosch’s vineyards. Imagine delicious wine influenced by the excellent Elgin terroir … Actually, don’t imagine, just come to our free Thelema wine-tasting tonight!
16th July, First sighting wines: Discover the delightfully drinkable wines made at the tip of Africa, at Strandveld Wines, between Elim and Cape Agulhas, 9km from the sea. First Sighting Sauvignon Blanc, with 97 points, won the Platinum Medal at the 2018 Decanter World Wine Awards.
23rd July, Rascallion Wines: Rascallion wines have been crafted for fruity and aromatic notes on the palate. They pair well with foods and they’re great on their own! Come and “talk Rascallion”; come and meet these new, award-winning wines and the people who make them.
30th July Vriesenhof Wine estate: These wines are made with a focus on the alchemy between soil, climatic conditions and vines: “The winemaker is a humble servant of nature. His role is to give nature the opportunity to produce the best possible wine.” Don’t miss our Vriesenhof tasting tonight!
