April 2018 Monday Wine Tasting Calendar
2 April – The Bridge of Hope Wines
“We will take you there” is Bridge of Hope Wines’ promise At the centre of this is the ethos of reduction of youth unemployment aligned with uplifting nominated communities. The estate produces a Classic Collection (light-bodied wines that are huge on flavour), a Premium Collection (luscious and full bodied), and a Reserve Collection (full bodied, with integrated oak characteristics and luscious berry flavours). Discover them all!
9 April – Blackwater Wines
Sourcing grapes from top vineyards of the Western Cape and building long-lasting relationships with the growers, Francois Haasbroek produces wines with minimal intervention in the cellar. “It all comes down to the grapes, no wine-making tricks – just sticking to the basics and attention details”. Explore Francois’s range of artisanal wines with us on 9 April.
16 April – Bayede! Wines
Wine fit for a King! To be included in this collection, wines have to meet the stringent criteria of a group of wine masters who carefully select from the best vintages of estates and farms in Stellenbosch, Robertson, Franschhoek, Paarl and the Western Cape’s coastal wine regions. Bayede bottles are finished off with handcrafted strings of beads – this job creation component is endorsed by King Goodwill Zwelithini.
23 April – Landskroon Wine Estate
Landskroon wines are harvested on the south-western slopes of Paarl Mountain. The estate is known for white, red and fortified wines of excellent quality and value. A great illustration is the estate’s 2017 Chenin Blanc (Dry) which won Gold at the Ultra Value Wine Challenge, Bronze at the Vertias 2017 awards and 3 stars in Platter’s Wine Guide in 2017.
30 April – Saxenburg Wine Estate
