The 28th of November marks the final chapter of The President Hotel’s successful Unwined & Dine series for the year. Guests will be treated to a delectable five course menu by head chef; Jacques Swart paired with the complex wines of Leopard’s Leap Family Vineyards and esteemed Head Winemaker, Renier van Deventer.
Nestled beneath Lion’s Head and surrounded by remarkable ocean views, The President Hotel’s Unwined & Dine series was inspired by the philosophy that excellent wine should be enjoyed with an equally excellent dining experience – creating a space for life’s simple pleasures to be celebrated amongst good company.
Starting at 7pm, the pairing experience begins with Leopard’s Leap Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir paired with a Beef Gravlax and a Won Ton crisp, followed by the Leopards Leap Sauvignon Blanc complementing a Sweet Basil & Asparagus Mille Feuille. The Culinaria Chenin Blanc perfectly balances a Grape Ash Sea Bream Crudo and Lemon Balm Pesto creating an effortless combination of sweet and vibrant acidity. For mains, guests can expect to indulge in a perfectly seasoned Lamb Rump with Celeriac and Mulberry Jus, which is brought to life by the dark berry flavours of the Culinaria Grand Vin Blend. The feast comes to a close with a silky smooth Litchi Parfait with Jasmine Tea Turkish Delight balanced with the delicate flavours of the provincial pink Muscat Le Frontignan , creating the perfect sweet ending – all for only R450 per person.
