Gift bags will be a generous offering to one and all, guests will be served a fourteen course tapas menu, accompanied by wine sponsored by Deetlefs and Jordan wines. Dr Helen Muir will enthral guests with her extensive knowledge on toxicity and health.
Your day will start off with African drumming, canapés and bubbly, shopping, makeovers, and massages. Afterwards, sit down and enjoy a 14 course tapas style lunch with food inspired by various countries in Africa.
There will be lucky draw prizes and a best dressed prize. Surprise envelopes will be on sale, including an auction and raffle tickets.
The Sunflower Fund fights blood diseases like Leukemia through the recruitment of blood stem cell donors and through maintaining a registry of potential donors committed to helping anyone in need of a life – saving stem cell transplant.
We fundraise to cover the cost of education and awareness about the need for and the process involved in becoming blood stem cell donors as well as to cover the cost of the HLA tissue – typing test involved in the recruitment of donors.
The Sunflower Fund also maintains a patient support fund to assist patients who are unable to afford costs associated with getting to transplant as well as being actively involved in creating a platform for support structures to assist patients, families and communities.
Come in your best African attire and join in an afternoon of African Fusion Fun. All event profits go towards the recruitment of more blood stem cell donors.
