Starting in February, well known Pastoral Counsellor and Weekend Post Columnist, Peter Woods will be offering a six part series of practical perspectives for daily living on Sunday Evenings at 6 pm at the Newton Park Methodist Church c/o 3rd and Newton Street, Newton Park
Titled, “What if there’s nothing wrong? : a six part exploration to relieve your stress and reboot your sanity.” the six part series will consider:
Feb 5 – What does it mean to be completely and divinely human?
Feb 12 – Who creates suffering and where does it live?
Feb 19 – Jesus of Nazareth as a map of your (and every) human life.
Feb 26 – Finding the thread leading through this puzzling maze called life.
Mar 5 – Is there a cure for stress or is stress the cure?
Mar 12 – Scaffolding our spiritual sanctuary.
Participants may want to bring note taking materials.
Although grounded in Jesus of Nazareth as an archetypal human life, this course will include insights from all the world’s wisdom traditions and human sciences.
The sessions are complete modules in themselves. Full participation will be useful, but each session will have it’s own unique benefit for those who can only attend some.
Entrance is free and all are welcome.
A freewill offering for the church will be taken.
