The formidable shark is just another meal to orca whales, which hunt in groups and can enjoy a diverse diet of seals, whales and a host of other marine species.

Nedbank suffering in weaker South African economy, says Old Mutual:
Old Mutual issued an update on the performance of its South Africa banking unit Nedbank Group for the three months to 31 March on Thursday, saying the firm's managed operations continued to produce a “solid performance” during the period. The FTSE 100 firm said that, in a difficult socio political and macroeconomic environment, overall client activity and revenue growth at Nedbank was slower than expected, but that was partially offset by a better-than-expected credit loss experience.
Investec Full-Year Profit Jumps 15% to Beat Analyst Estimates 39 minutes ago:
Investec Plc , owner of a bank and money manager in South Africa and the U.K., posted full-year earnings that beat analyst estimates as assets under management and lending jumped. Net income for the 12 months ended March 31 climbed to 487.1 million pounds from 423.1 million pounds a year earlier, the London and Johannesburg-based lender said in a statement on Thursday.

The proposed listing is the latest move by billionaire Christo Wiese to bring more of his African retail assets under one roof to create a shopping giant.
Bodies of 25 Illegal Miners Recovered from Abandoned South African Gold Shaft:
A suspected illegal miner climbs out of a ventilation shaft used to access an abandoned gold shaft in Benoni, east of Johannesburg, Feb. 17, 2014. Police recovered 25 bodies, believed to be those of illegal miners, from a disused Harmony Gold mine shaft, near an area where 76 illegal miners died in 2009 in what was one of South Africa's worst mining disasters.
