The Fish River Sun golf course will host the Child Welfare SA charity golf day on Saturday, 28 May.
“Both avid golfers or casual players should take the opportunity to compete on one of the best courses in the province and contribute to children in need in the Eastern Cape,” says Fish River Sun operations manager, Wessel Benson.
The tournament is a four-ball better ball, with two scores to count. Entry is just R800 per four-ball including green fees, snacks, prize-giving and entertainment.
“As the Eastern Cape is the second poorest province in South Africa, the demand for our services at Child Welfare is enormous and growing daily,” says Eastern Cape Child Welfare Area Manager, Pearl Blecher. “There are so many challenges to face, and funding is vital to enable us to continue caring for the most vulnerable children in our province.”
Child Welfare Eastern Cape asks businesses to sponsor greens and tees from just R500. Proceeds will go towards Child Welfare centres in Port Elizabeth, East London, Port Alfred, Kenton-on-Sea and Grahamstown.
