Following on from the recent Stellenbosch and Cape Town ‘The Most Expensive Burger in Town’ functions, the third and final leg of Community Keepers’ 2017 awareness-raising events, ‘The Most Meaningful Tea in Town,’ holds a promising conclusion to the NGO’s initiatives this year. The events are a collaborative charity project, involving the public, to provide psychological and social support to children who experience emotional difficulties at home and in their communities.
Thanks to Community Keepers’ partners and individuals’ close involvement, almost R1.6 million has been raised since the events started in 2015. This is enough to fund five school-based therapy offices and deliver professional services for one year, adding to the NGOs long-term goals to operate 100 offices nationally by 2025 (currently, 17 Western Cape offices exist).
By purchasing a ticket to ‘The Most Meaningful Tea in Town’ at Overgaauw Wine Estate in Stellenbosch on 22 November, you’ll not only enjoy live entertainment and a delicious high tea menu but also meet like-minded individuals and invest in a child’s positive development. Event highlights include a delectable high tea, live music by Luna Paige, bubbly, pop-up clothing stalls, an educational panel discussion and much more.
Community Keepers offers various ways for anyone to lend a hand. Visit https://communitykeepers.org for more information.
