‘Blesser’ nabbed for killing

22 August 2017 By admin

‘Blesser’ nabbed for killing: Pretoria – Two months ago Sophie Thapi Ledwaba changed her Facebook profile picture to include a frame denouncing violence against women. However, the 26-year-old was killed outside a popular nightclub in Sunnyside on Saturday night in an apparent gender-based violence incident. Reports suggested that Ledwaba was shot and killed, allegedly by her blesser, outside Ayepyep Lifestyle Lounge. It was alleged the man shot her because she refused to leave with him to be “blessed” at his place after he had bought her alcohol inside the popular club. It is believed a man driving a Mercedes-Benz Viano had bought Ledwaba food and drinks throughout the evening. At the end of the outing, the man…

I am not a Gupta front, says Manyi: Johannesburg – The R450 million media deal involving businessman Mzwanele Manyi and the Gupta’s Oakbay Investments is shrouded in controversy, with leading business experts casting doubts on whether South African banks would approve of it. There were mixed reactions regarding the deal, with some suggesting that Manyi could have been used as a front, especially after the Guptas came under attack from several quarters for alleged state capture. The controversial Gupta family, who are close friends of President Jacob Zuma, have also been dumped by the country’s top four banks. And India’s Bank of Baroda has given the Guptas until the end of next month to close their accounts – a move that has…

#BhekiCele in sizzling swipe at No 1, Guptas: Durban – Not only should the Guptas go back to where they came from but they should also take their friends with them, ANC National Executive Committee (NEC) member Bheki Cele said on Monday in a stinging attack on President Jacob Zuma and his allies. Speaking at the cadres forum held in the ANC’s Lower South Coast region on Monday night, Cele said the controversial family should allow the ANC to lead and “stop interfering and chowing money”. Cele said the country had been “Guptarised” as the three Gupta brothers were screening the CVs of ministers before they are appointed. “Everywhere you go it’s the Guptas. They are everywhere. The…
