Create a South African family feast the easy way

29 September 2021 By admin

With the wealth of South Africa’s cultures comes a wealth of cuisines, and what better way to celebrate our Heritage than to put together a proudly South African feast? Surprising your family with the tastes of Mzansi has never been easier – or quicker. With the help of the LG NeoChef Convection microwave, anyone can whip up a proudly South African meal in no time.

The LG NeoChef Convection is an all-in-one cooking companion that makes even the most daring dishes as easy as one, two, three. With nine amazing functionalities, you can do a whole lot more than just warm your food. It can be used for air frying, roasting, steaming, slow cooking, grills, making yoghurt, baking – and even making biltong!

So, if you’re looking for some recipes to try out with the LG NeoChef, here are a few proudly South African ideas that are sure to tantalise some tastebuds.

1. Make your own biltong

Arguably one of our nation’s most beloved snacks. With the LG NeoChef convection, you can turn the power all the way down effectively turning it into a drying room. Spice your meat according to your preference, place on the NeoChef rack, select the “Biltong” function and patiently wait. In about three and a half hours later you’ll have you own homemade biltong! You can also use this feature to make your own dried fruit.

2. Lamb chops

Any South African worth their salt knows how to wield a pair of braai tongs. But if you aren’t in the mood to set up the braai, or maybe you don’t have the space for a braai, the LG NeoChef is here to save the day.

With its smart inverter and precise temperature control, anyone can be a praise-worthy braaimaster. Simply cover your lamb chops with some olive oil, garlic, salt, and spices, put the LG NeoChef on grill, and you’ll be serving perfectly grilled chops in no time.

3. Get frying

Want to make your own delicious ‘fried’ treats with none of the added fat? With the LG NeoChef’s built-in air fryer with a Diet Fry feature, you can enjoy crispy dishes with minimal use of oil. Dig into some samoosas, or ‘fry’ up some chips for a kota. It’s a win for the lips – and for the hips.

A modern cooking companion

Gone are the days when you had to break a sweat in the kitchen every time you wanted to cook up a storm. With the versatile LG NeoChef convection, anyone can put together all kinds of delicious meals in less time and with almost no effort.
