As the temperature starts to plummet with many of us working long hours from home, Larry Hodes and Josh Simon of the much-loved Arbour Caf\u00e9 in Birdhaven have a new foodie fix for customers. Out of their Dark Kitchen comes authentic Japanese cuisine \u2013 The Lucky Peach House of Ramen<\/p>\n

\u201cRamen, a Japanese staple, is a delicious noodle soup served in a meat or chicken-based broth infused with soy sauce or miso for that real umami kick. It\u2019s light and warm but a very filling meal too which is what people want after a long, cold day\u2019 says co-owner Joshua.<\/p>\n

The Dark Kitchen concept, which is essentially a centralised production kitchen that can put out any type of food, operates purely online has been gaining traction as a global trend. \u201cIt has never made more sense to lean into technology for the restaurant industry right as we navigate the current lockdown\u201d says Larry \u201cThe Lucky Peach House of Ramen\u201d will be available on UberEATS and Mr Delivery this week\u201d<\/p>\n

Shoyu Chicken Ramen- Pulled slow roast chicken, sweet corn, spring onion, carrot, egg, seaweed, ramen noodles, hearty soya based shoyu chicken broth. R95<\/p>\n

Spicy beef Miso Ramen- Pulled spicy beef, spring onion, button mushroom, baby spinach, fresh chili, seaweed, egg, ramen noodles, spicy miso, and beef broth. R100<\/p>\n
